Cancellation policy related to Covid-19

Cancellation policy related to Covid-19

On September 28th 2020, the Prime Minister of Quebec announced that the government would place certain regions inside the province of Quebec on red alert, which is the highest level, starting October 1st at midnight and that measures would be put in place to slow the spread of the virus during this second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. At the time, the regions on red alert were limited to the greater Montreal and Quebec areas (except from Portneuf and Charlevoix) and Chaudière-Appalaches, but the situation has evolved since then and there are other cities and municipalities that are now on red alert. In these circumstances, we need to adapt our cancellation policy to respect the governmental restrictions and to keep our travellers safe. Therefore, any person eligible to a refund due to Covid-19 will instead be able to obtain un credit, which will correspond to the amount paid when the reservation was made and can be used within the next year. For example, a person that made a reservation from October 2nd to October 5th, 2020 in one of our properties will be able to use its credit up to October 2nd, 2021. This policy is similar to the one adopted by major hotels in the province of Quebec during those difficult times. You may be eligible to a refund in the form of credit if you belong to one or more of these categories:

  • You are forced to return home due to a police roadblock. Of course, you will have to give us evidence of such an event. You may be eligible to a refund in the form of credit only if you contact us by phone as soon as this situation occurs.
  • You are tested positive to Covid-19. Indeed, any person who has made a reservation that is tested positive to Covid-19 will be able to receive a refund in the form of credit upon presentation of evidence confirming their state. The same thing applies to people tested positive to Covid-19 that live under the same roof as the person who made the reservation and the people that are supposed to come with for its stay in one of our properties. A proof that the person was tested positive to Covid-19 as well as a proof of residency will be required.

We ask you to communicate with us as soon as possible if you are eligible to a refund in the form of credit and you wish to benefit from it.

Our usual cancellation policies remain in place despite those modifications:

  • 100% refundable when a cancellation is made 15 days or more before the arrival;
    50% refundable when a cancellation is made between 4 and 14 days before the arrival;
    Non-refundable when a cancellation is made 3 days or less before the arrival.
    The 10% Kasania service fees are non-refundable for every reservation.

Kasania is in no way responsible for the closing of the activities in the region where you booked your stay and in the town of Mont-Tremblant. Kasania will offer no sort of compensation for your stays if the activity center and the restaurants are closed. We are not responsible for the closing of businesses for which we have no power over. It is your responsibility to inform yourself of which services remain open.

If you wish to have more information regarding this cancellation policy related to Covid-19, you can communicate with us by phone to 514 437-4000 or by email to info@kasania.com at any time during our opening hours from 9AM to 8PM every day.
